Shield Capital (SHIELD) has announced the successful launch of its first venture capital fund to help entrepreneurs develop critical technologies for commercial and national security clients. Launched in stealth mode, Shield Capital Fund I, LP surpassed target capitalization of $120 million. SHIELD is operational with a focused investment strategy in four high-growth, cutting-edge technology areas: artificial intelligence, autonomy, cybersecurity and space.

Founded and led by venture capital and national security industry veterans Philip Bilden and Raj Shah, the management team is comprised of seasoned investors and business builders who have founded and grown multiple start-ups. -ups successful and invested in more than 70 companies. Additionally, the SHIELD team has extensive experience and national security networks in the U.S. military, intelligence community, and aerospace and defense industry.

SHIELD portfolio companies utilize the team’s entrepreneurial expertise in building and scaling successful businesses with extensive networks in the national security ecosystem.
