San Francisco Bay Area Weather Forecast

The National Weather Service’s forecast for Sunday for the San Francisco Bay Area calls for another hot day across much of the region. Peaks will range from the 60s and 70s along the coast to the 80s around the bay and to the 90s in the inland valleys. The lows of the night will be in the 1950s in most of the region.

Increasing coastal winds in the middle of the week will bring significantly cooler conditions for the second half of the work week and a possibility of light rain for Friday and Saturday.

The interior valleys of Alameda and Contra Costa counties – including the Tri-Valley and the Diablo Valley – will be subject to a Spare the Air Day alert on Sunday due to poor air quality expected, according to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. The rest of the San Francisco Bay Area is expected to have moderate air quality.
