  • The US Marshals Service assisted in the arrest on Saturday in connection with the 2016 death of Edwin Josue Ramirez Guerra, 17.

  • The prescribed burn – which crossed containment lines on Friday – charred 148 acres on Sunday morning, according to Cal Fire.

Fatal crash reported early Saturday on US 101 in San José

  • The incident occurred on the freeway at the Tully Road slip road, according to CHP.

Man arrested for assaulting roommate in Petaluma: police

  • Harmanvir Singh, 31, of Petaluma, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and theft, police said.

Passenger killed in single vehicle crash in Brentwood

  • A Hayward woman was killed on Sunday when the car she was in pulled off the roadway in Brentwood and collided with a fence, police said.

San Jose man killed in 101 freeway crash near Morgan Hill

  • A 25-year-old San Jose man died in a collision on US Highway 101 near Morgan Hill on Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
