If everyone is fully immunized and there are no more than 100 people, masks will not be needed in offices, gymnasiums, university indoor classes or religious gatherings. Participating companies and organizations are responsible for the verification of vaccines.
You are still required to wear a mask in retail stores and in common areas of a building such as elevators and washrooms. This is only in effect in SF and Marin, other Bay Area counties have not relaxed their mask mandates.

San Francisco mayor says this is an important step in the city’s recovery – Marin health officials say they think it is safe to take this step because of the number of cases of COVID continues to decline.
Health officials say older people who have not yet received their booster or those with immunocompromise should think twice and assess their risk before dropping their masks.
Companies can always choose to keep the mask mandate in place.
Similar rules will come into effect in Contra Costa County on November 1.
