Alfredo seeks to bounce back from Texas fire
MOORESVILLE, NC (October 19, 2021) – Speedy Cash will be back with Anthony Alfredo this weekend at Kansas Speedway. After a good round interrupted prematurely in Texas, the No. 38 team is looking to bounce back this Sunday afternoon.
âIt was great seeing all the Speedy Cash guys in Texas last weekend. We had a big Texas size steak dinner on Saturday night and were excited for Sunday. It was just a shame that our race was cut short, âsaid Alfredo.
The Speedy Cash Ford Mustang driver was about to finish in style, but an accident at the end of the race caused a fire. One of the most dangerous dangers in racing is fire.
âI am grateful that I was able to come out unscathed. That’s all the credit for safety and innovation, âcontinued Alfredo. âI once had a car on fire. I knew how to stay calm, but also how to go fast. I had the composure to take everything off and get out of the car. It may have seemed to take a little while, but I was in control. “
Now Alfredo is looking forward to Kansas.
âWe’ve improved on the intermediate tracks and I know we can finish well in Kansas. We finished in the top 25 there in May, and we were close to making the top 15. We had a great car then and I hope it will be quick on Sunday.
The race will be televised live on NBCSN at 3 p.m. ET.
