Photos from the crash scene posted to Twitter show a red sea of ​​tomatoes dumped across multiple lanes of Interstate 80.

Solano County California Highway Patrol officers were called to the freeway near the Alamo for a car accident, the agency tweeted. Several eastbound and westbound lanes were closed while officers investigated the accident.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
